Leo Ulloa is delighted to be back on the goal trail.

But Albion’s striker reckons the fact he played 90 minutes after returning from a fractured metatarsal was his real Boxing Day bonus.

The Seagulls went home pointless despite Argentinian Ulloa’s two goals on his first start in almost three months.

Ulloa said: “I’m happy to get the goals, but sad that we lost the match.

“But playing the 90 minutes with no discomfort was the most important thing for me.

“I feel like I’m still lacking something in terms of physical fitness.

“But I didn’t feel any pain or discomfort from the injury.”

Ulloa felt Albion, who lost 3-2, could have got something from the game.

He added: “We weren’t bad but they, without doing much more than we did, won the match.

“The problem now is that we play again in three days at Blackpool.

“Recovery over these days will be very important.”
