Will Buckley insists Albion still have an eye on the top six – despite two recent setbacks.

The Seagulls go to Blackpool tomorrow looking to bounce back from a home draw with Huddersfield followed by defeat at Charlton (see accompanying video).

For the third game in a row, Albion will kick off knowing a win could take them into the top six.

It is a slim chance this time. But Buckley insists they cannot ignore what is going on above them in the league table.

And he is convinced a play-off place remains the first target.

“I think we are aware of it,” he said when asked if Albion were going into games knowing where a win could take them in the standings.

“That is where we want to be at the end of the season. We want to be in the top six at least. Whether you look at it like that or not, we just approach the game in the same way.

“We went out to win the game at Charlton and, unfortunately, we didn’t.

“We just want to be up there whether it is now or the end of the season, which is obviously the main time.”
