Crawley boss John Gregory hailed his players after their 1-0 win at home to Notts County.
Mark Connolly grabbed the only goal of the game on 54 minutes.
Gregory said: “It is a good three points and we are all delighted.
“It was the most one-sided 1-0 you have ever seen in your left. We had 20 shots at goal and only scored one but you have to say their goalkeeper played particularly well.
“I’m delighted with the energy my boys showed more than anything. That was epitomised late on when Jamie Proctor broke clear. He still had the energy and enthusiasm to get on the end of a long ball through the middle.
“He took a great shot which bounced back off the post and that summed up our afternoon. It was a game we should have put to bed a lot earlier.”
Skipper Dannie Bulman missed the game due to a fractured cheekbone suffered against MK Dons on Boxing Day.
Gregory added: “We have dedicated that win to Dannie.”
