Buckley blow for Albion

The Argus: Will Buckley, out for a month with another hamstring injury Will Buckley, out for a month with another hamstring injury

Albion will be without Will Buckley for a month after he suffered a bad hamstring tear in Sunday's 1-0 win at Blackpool.

The winger was forced off in the closing stages of the match at Bloomfield Road.

Club doctor Helge Riepenhof revealed: "Will has suffered a bad tear to the hamstring which will take time to recover. He's likely to be out for around four weeks."

Riepenhof has also revealed that Stephen Ward was sick on the pitch following an early knock to the head before he was substituted just before half-time.

And the Seagulls' German medic expects striker Craig Mackail-Smith, out since March with a ruptured Achilles and ankle trouble, to return before the end of January.

Really? That's can' be right! I'm sure Mark by the Sea said only the other day that CMS was unlikely to play again this season. Does this mean MBTS was... and I can't believe I'm saying this... wrong?

Shame for Will and us, think Ward will miss a couple of games, could be Chicksens chance to shine.
Good news about Cms at last, just hope he has still got his pace.

Buckley is not the player he was. He's a sick note winger. If GP will take him for £1million that's a deal worth taking.

At least that should end the Buckley to Sunderland story. Can anyone honestly see Gus Poyet going to the Sunderland Chairman and saying in order to keep us up I want to sign a player who is out for a month and has a history of hamstring injuries. The BBC website was stating that GP was only being given limited funds so surely Will will be staying at Brighton.
