Crawley Town's game away to Swindon Town has been called off following a pitch inspection.
Referree Steven Rushton checked the surface at 1pm and decided the match could not go ahead.
Rushton said: "There is heavy water lying on the pitch and the forecast is for more rain therefore there will be no improvement in conditions.
"Player safety would be the main concern."
Swindon had earlier said there was no pitch inspection planned but the heavy which has greeted the new year has not relented.
