Reading are likely to be missing eight players through injury at The Amex today.
They had ten men out for various reasons when they drew 1-1 at home to Nottingham Forest on New Year’s Day.
Since then they have recouped central defender Kaspers Gorkss, who was suspended against Forest after a red card in the 3-0 defeat at Middlesbrough, and wideman Jordan Obita, who is recovering from a virus.
But Billy Sharp has gone back to Southampton after a loan spell.
How Reading drew with Forest on New Year's Day
Former England left-back Wayne Bridge, who enjoyed such a fine season on loan to Albion last term, has only started nine games this season due to a knee injury, the last of them on October 26.
He also made one appearance off the bench when he went on at half-time against the Seagulls.
Jason Roberts, Hal Robson-Kanu, Mikele Leigertwood, Jobi McAnuff, Sean Morrison, Chris Baird and Jem Karacan are also ruled out.
