Kazenga LuaLua has revealed the Albion players love playing for Oscar Garcia - even though he does not say much.

The winger has saluted the quietly effective approach of the head coach as the Seagulls bid to mount another promotion push in the second half of the season.

They return to Championship action against in-form Birmingham at The Amex on Saturday better placed under Spaniard Oscar than they were under chatterbox Gus Poyet.

Oscar's side are seventh after 24 games with 36 points, narrowly outside the play-off places on goal difference.

That is two points more, three places higher and three points closer than they were at the same stage last season, when Poyet's team finished fourth before losing in the play-offs to Crystal Palace and the Uruguayan's sacking for gross misconduct.

Fit-again LuaLua, a late impact substitute in the FA Cup win against Reading, told The Argus: “I am always ready to play. It's always nice to come on to help the team.

“This season has been good for me, the manager has been good for me, everybody really.

“It would be nice if he (Oscar) could talk more! But he's a nice guy.

“He's different to Gus, a bit quieter, but he's a good manager. All the boys love playing for him.”
