Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has distanced himself from Liam Bridcutt’s transfer request at Albion.
Poyet is a big fan of the unsettled midfielder and his current club had a £2million offer rejected last week.
The former Seagulls manager presided over a 2-1 Capital One Cup win over Manchester United last night.
He told reporters after the game: “Liam Bridcutt putting in a transfer request? It’s nothing to do with me.”
