Albion youngster Shamir Goodwin is closing in on his Football League debut.
The development squad forward has signed on a month’s loan for League Two outfit Torquay.
He is eligible for their game at AFC Wimbledon today.
The move rewards an impressive recent loan spell at Conference south club Tonbridge Angels.
Albion’s development coach Simon Ireland is delighted to see Goodwin, from Crawley, get his chance.
Ireland said: “He is an example to all young footballers about how quickly things can change for them.
“The key is using the best of your ability, working hard and showing commitment and he has done that both with us and during his loan spell at Tonbridge, and off the back of that he has got himself a move to a league club."
