John Lambert has been named as the new manager of Eastbourne Town.
The former Hastings and Sidley boss was appointed this evening.
He will work at the Saffrons with a management team of Jamie Podmore, Peter Heritage and Ben White.
Manager Tony Reid resigned on Friday and assistant Sammy Donnelly took charge of the team for today’s 2-2 draw at home to Worthing.
Donnelly had made it clear he was interested in the position on a permanent basis but he was advised after the game that the club had decided to appoint Lambert.
Chairman Dave Jenkins said: “I think we have a mixture of youth and experience with this management team. Long term, we believe they will be the right team to move us forward.”
