Albion players have fingers crossed for team mate Andrew Crofts.
The midfielder was helped off with a knee problem as the Seagulls beat Birmingham City 1-0 yesterday.
He will undergo a scan today admit fears he is seriously injured.
Goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak said: “I’m really sorry for him because this can happen to all of us on the training ground or in a game.
“Crofty was phenomenal for the team this season and he has played really good, consistent and will miss him if this is a bad injury.
“He is very important. He has been a key player in many games and I think he had the most appearances over the season.
“I talked to him in the dressing room. How can he feel?
“He knows he injured himself but he doesn’t know how bad.”
Inigo Calderon and Kemy Agustien were among those to tweet their support to Crofts last night.
