Kuszczak has fingers crossed for Crofts

Albion players have fingers crossed for team mate Andrew Crofts.

The midfielder was helped off with a knee problem as the Seagulls beat Birmingham City 1-0 yesterday.

He will undergo a scan today admit fears he is seriously injured.

Goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak said: “I’m really sorry for him because this can happen to all of us on the training ground or in a game.

“Crofty was phenomenal for the team this season and he has played really good, consistent and will miss him if this is a bad injury.

“He is very important. He has been a key player in many games and I think he had the most appearances over the season.

“I talked to him in the dressing room. How can he feel?

“He knows he injured himself but he doesn’t know how bad.”

Inigo Calderon and Kemy Agustien were among those to tweet their support to Crofts last night.

For his sake, I guess we all have everything crossed for Crofts' injury not to be severe.

When Andrew went down and punched the ground in frustration it reminded me of when Will Hoskins was injured.Let's hope and pray it's not that bad.
He has been one of our top players this season but it just goes to show how quickly things can change. I'm praying that it's not too bad and he's back patrolling our midfield very soon.UTA

I agree with all these posts of course.I don,t think we have a replacement in the squad who is anywhere near Croft,s ability so if it,s a long term injury OG will have to find someone in the window.Sorry to be glum before knowing the diagnosis but he is bound to be out for a while and could be the difference between us securing a place off spot or not-Crofty is that important.Meanwhile let,s secure Conway and another striker.

Off topic . I just had a flash of my past ,i can remember all the cars in Brighton & Hove with a sticker in the back window reading "Dont follow me follow The Albion"
I was about 8 so it would have been around 69-70. UTA
