Albion are looking forward to a reunion with former boss Micky Adams in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Adams’ Port Vale side won 3-2 away to League Two side Plymouth in tonight’s third round replay.

Adams managed Albion from April 1999 to October 2001, guiding them to the League Two title. He returned in May 2008 in place of Dean Wilkins but only lasted nine months.

Former Albion players Doug Loft and Chris Birchall both featured for Vale in tonight’s victory.

The fourth round tie is due to take place on Saturday January 25.
