Crawley Town's home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

A local referee inspected the pitch at 1.30pm and called the game off following torrential rain overnight and this morning.

It is a massive blow for Reds who were expecting a record crowd at the Checkatrade.com Stadium with Wolves fans snapping up their full allocation of nearly 2,000 tickets in advance.

There has been no date set for the rescheduled match yet but the crowd is likely to be significantly less for a midweek game.

It also leaves Crawley facing a busy schedule between now and the end of the season. They have already got two games in hand on some of their League One rivals with that set to rise to three this weekend.

It is the third game Crawley have had postponed in the last three weeks with their trip to Swindon on New Years Day and the FA Cup tie with Bristol Rovers on January 4 also falling foul of the weather. The original replay against Rovers before Christmas was also abandoned after 76 minutes.
