Sussex seamer Chris Jordan has been added to the England squad for the upcoming T20 series against Australia.

Jordan was orginally only included in the ODI squad but has impressed so much in the opening two matches - which England both lost - that he has been drafted in as a replacement for Steve Finn following his return to England.

The call-up enhances Jordan's hopes of making the final 15-man squad for the World T20 after being named in a provisional 30-strong party last week along with Sussex team-mate Luke Wright.

Jordan will now have three T20s against Australia to stake his claim to be on the plane to Bangladesh in March as well as the remaining three ODIs.

The move means Jordan has been withdrawn from the England Lions squad for the tour of Sri Lanka at the end of the month with Liam Plunkett taking his place.
