Worthing Thunder have signed American forward Terrell Bell for the remainder of the season - and thrown him straight in for his debut.
Bell, a 6ft 7ins Atlanta native who played NCAA division one basketball at Virginia Tech, comes to Sussex from the Midura Mavericks in Australia, where he averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds in 19 games played.
He forward has also had a spell in the Finnish Korisliiga Thunder coach Daniel Hildreth is pleased with his new recruit and confirmed he is available for today’s league game at Bradford Dragons.
Hildreth said: “I’m really excited to have Terrell join the team.
"Obviously he will need a bit of time to settle but coming from such a big school and with his high basketball IQ, I’m it won’t take long.”
