Orlandi starts for Albion

The Argus: Andrea Orlandi Andrea Orlandi

Albion have handed Andrea Orlandi his first start since the opening day of the season as they look to end a difficult week in style.

The midfielder, who underwent knee surgery early in the campaign, replaces Kazenga LuaLua (hamstring) at Derby County today.

The other change to the XI sees Jake Forster-Caskey replace Andrew Crofts, who suffered a season-ending knee injury last week.

Recent signing Jon Obika is again among the subs.

Albion: Kuszczak; Bruno, Greer, Upson, Ward; Ince, Andrews, Forster-Caskey; David Lopez, Orlandi, Ulloa. Subs: Brezovan; Dunk, Calderon, Chicksen, Agustien, March, Obika

Clean Sheet says...

Looks a decent side. JFC needs to get forward to support Leo. I hope he is back on form. 3 pts please, and a clean sheet.

A good starting line up, would liked to have seen March start with Lopez on the bench but Lopez is due a good game, and with Orlandi starting it might be what Lopez needs. Jfc gets a start after being out of the team for a while, the bench looks ok, even with what's been going on.
Confident of at least a draw today and maybe a 1-2 win for us! UTA

I agree, our lineup and bench look decent, just wondering, when was the last time we won a penalty away from home?

Orlandi often seems to bring out the best in David, so fingers crossed they can both make a decent impression.

Just shows our strength in depth that despite losing so many players we can still put out a strong team.

The back fives for both teams look good, both sides have some fire power, this match could come down to the two midfields, Ince and JFC have a lot riding on their backs today, Andrews brings a lot of experience into our midfield and I hope will influence the two lads.

Why did we waste our time signing Obika? Obviously not going to start as OG only ever wants to play 1 forward. Did we not learn from the Lita debacle?

Do you mean the Lita debacle where we hardly ever played him and hardly ever lost a game ? I like those kind of debacles.

Hi Vegas, we will need to pressure derby in midfield, ince, jfc, and Andrews will need to work hard, if jfc tires bring on Agustein, if Lopez and orlandi click we have a good chance, if Lopez tires or has a poor performance bring on our secret weapon in Solly March.
Derby are under a bit of pressure to get a result today, if we get at them from the start we will have a chance, stand off them and they will gain confidence, it all depends on OG and how he gets us to start imo.
