Derby boss Steve McClaren has praised his goalkeeper for helping his side beat Albion.
Lee Grant made two fine saves as the Seagulls lost 1-0 at the iPro Stadium yesterday.
He kept out a Matt Upson header in the first half and Leo Ulloa’s low drive late on.
McClaren said: “The back six kept us in the game, kept us a clean sheet.
“Lee Grant made a fantastic save and they are the ones that get you three points.
“It’s important you grind out results when there are 46 games in a season.
“We weren’t at our best but we will take the three points.”
McClaren also highlighted the contribution of his three substitutes and suggested his team merited the win.
Patrick Bamford went off the bench to score with a shot which seemed to deflect off Solly March.
McClaren added: “We went for the game and probably deserved the break.”
