Port Vale manager Micky Adams has urged his side to get Albion today.

Adams wants the League One play-off chasers to “upset” their Championship visitors.

The former Seagulls boss is full of admiration for the way Oscar Garcia’s men keep the ball.

But he believes his in-form outfit can make life tough for them.

Adams said: “I think the two wins last week have helped us enormously in terms of regaining a little bit of belief.

“We are confident but we know Brighton have some good players, there is no doubt about that.

“If we let them play, sit off them and let them enjoy the open expanses at Vale Park we night have a problem.

“So, it will be up to us to upset them a little bit.”

Vale pulled off a dramatic 3-2 win at Plymouth in a third round replay to book their tie against Albion (see video).

Former Seagulls and Hastings midfielder Doug Loft might have to fill in at left-back after Adams lost Carl Dickinson to suspension and Daniel Jones to injury.

Vale have striker Gavin Tomlin back from injury to compete with Ben Williamson for a striking role alongside 6ft 3in target man Tom Pope.
