Crawley Town have targeted Halifax Town striker Lee Gregory to boost their firepower following the departure of Gary Alexander.

Reds have made a number of bids for the 25-year-old but have so far yet to come to an agreement with the Conference premier outfit.

Gregory has been the subject of plenty of interest during the transfer window after scoring 18 goals in 23 appearances for the Shaymen this season - including 13 in his last 13 games.

Crawley's League One rivals MK Dons have been watching the former Mansfield Town trainee along with a number of Championship clubs.

Reds boss John Gregory is keen to bring in another striker after allowing Alexander join League Two club Burton Albion today while there remains the possibility Emile Sinclair could still leave the Checkatrade.com Stadium.
