David Rodriguez would love to partner Leo Ulloa for Albion.

But the Seagulls' latest Spanish signing admits that decision rests with head coach Oscar Garcia.

Rodriguez has joined the Seagulls on a free transfer for the rest of the season after cancelling his contract with Celta Vigo.

Like Ulloa, he had a spell at Almeria in La Liga. The 27-year-old is keen to strike up a relationship with the Argentinian target man, although that would mean Oscar changing Albion's normal set-up of playing with a lone centre-forward.

Rodriguez, speaking through an interpretor, told The Argus: "I played against him (Ulloa) when he was at Almeria. I know 100% he is a player who makes a difference when he is on the pitch.

"We are totally different players. In essence I think we can both play up front. I think we'd suit each other but that is a decision for the coach."
