Nathan Jones admitted Albion were frustrated after going down 2-0 at Watford.

He felt an early Ikechi Anya strike changed the game after a bright start from the Seagulls.

And he also rued Fernando Forestieri’s second-half goal - plus a disallowed header by Leo Ulloa.

Albion’s assistant head coach said: “We are disappointed as a group and as a team. We didn’t start too badly, ironically, but we conceded goals at bad times.

“The first one came slightly against the run of play but they took that and it kind of knocked the wind out of us a little bit.

“We huffed and puffed without really taking the game to them.

“The second goal came at a bad time as well and to rub salt in the wound with the disallowed goal, we felt that came at a time when we might have kicked on and got something from the game.

“All round we are quite frustrated really.”
