Tomasz Kuszczak has backed Albion to revive their promotion challenge at the Amex.

The Seagulls launch a sequence of four successive home games in the Championship and FA Cup against Doncaster Rovers tomorrow.

It follows one point from the last nine away, culminating in Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at Kuszczak’s old club Watford.

The former Manchester United goalkeeper said: “We’ve had very difficult away games and now we are coming back. With our supporters and the full stadium the magic can happen. We’ve seen that in the past.

“We love to play at home. We’ve got a great stadium, great fans and we need to change things and get back on track and win for them.

“We always watch the replays after the game and when we score a goal you can see the whole crowd jumping up. It’s a great feeling. We want to give them this feeling every week and now we are going to have an opportunity.”

Six of Albion’s next eight matches are at the Amex, including clashes against fellow top six contenders Leeds, Wigan and Reading and the FA Cup fifth round tie against Hull.

Assistant head coach Nathan Jones told The Argus: “We are looking forward to it, because we have been away for the last four games and I think that has taken its toll at times.

“We’ll be happy to get back to the Amex in front of our own fans. It was disappointing we couldn’t go into it with a better results in terms of setting us up nicely but we’re looking forward to playing at home.

“It’s going to be a critical time now in terms of the games we have coming up, being at home and hopefully taking advantage of that. Watford was probably as far away from what we are capable of as we have been for a while but in other games we have been right on it.”
