Kemy back in contention

Kemy Agustien could be in the frame for a midfield role against Doncaster tomorrow

Kemy Agustien could be in the frame for a midfield role against Doncaster tomorrow

Kemy Agustien is back in contention for Albion's home game against Doncaster Rovers tomorrow as head coach Oscar Garcia contemplates a midfield headache.

The Seagulls have Rohan Ince available after a minor foot ailment but they could be without Keith Andrews and Jake Forster-Caskey due to hamstring injuries.

Their absences, coupled with the sale of Liam Bridcutt to Sunderland and long-term knee injury suffered by Andrew Crofts, opens the door again for Agustien.

The Dutchman travelled to Watford but was not in the 18-man squad for Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Vicarage Road.

Oscar has to decide who should join Ince and Dale Stephens, on his home debut, in the central midfield trio.

He has the option of switching Spaniards Andrea Orlandi and David Lopez into more central roles, as was the case for stages of the game at Watford.

Kazenga LuaLua, who thrives at the Amex, is expected to return to the starting line-up on the left-wing.

Id love to see Kemy given a run of games. He may not be the most athletic player e have but he has an eye for a pass and makes things happen.

Is Buckley back yet? Not heard anything about him recently and we could really do with his pace up top. I know he hasn't been in the best of form but just having him on the pitch is a first line of defence as fullbacks are very wary of pushing on when they are up against a quick winger.

Really hoping for a positive team and tactics to take to the pitch tomorrow... I still completely believe that e have the players to press on.. I just don't think they are being fully utilized at present.

This is Kemy's big chance, he hasn't had a fair crack at the whip in my eyes and a lot of the fans have already written him off. I hope he proves people wrong and I'm sure he will spark some much needed creativity V Doncaster. However failure to boss the CM against a team in the bottom half of the championship, at home, really won't help with the critics!

Oscar may spring a surprise and play 4-4-2.
Probably not though so expect Kemy to get the opportunity to show his ability.

Buckley was mentioned yesterday in an article. Only just resumed training after injury so not in contention for Saturday but certainly one of these upcoming home games.

Kemy is celarly a class player who needs to be given a run of games. I think its a blessing in disguise that JFC is out injured - I know he has scored a couple of good goals, but I think his performances have been weak to say the least. Midfield for me is Ince, Augustain, Stephens - with Orlandi & Kaz out wide. Obviously I would prefer Buckley instead of Orlandi - and I would not be dissapointed if Ince is replaced with Andrews - who I think is good player & leader ( a much better skip than Greer in my eyes).

Its a big big game for oscar tommorrow. if we play badly (negative/boring) and get a poor result, then the fans will be on his back.

Im not sure how oscar will play it, i like alfie t , plan , we have to attack, kemy i dont think is mobile enough, i know hes made an effort with his weight, but he misplaces to many passs for me, unless we become a bit more daring at home, and start scoring some goals we seem to have lost our way a tad,its difficult, do you keep it tight or do you get a bit gung ho, my worries are we need to score first or we struggle.... first goal is the key ..as it always is but our seagulls seem to be strrugling to find the net..lets hope stephans can fill crofts boots... Given we wont play 2 up top. My team tomorrow would be.

Tom
Bruno - Dunk - Upson - Ward
March - Ince - Kemy - Stephens - Lua lua
Ulloa

No point sitting on the fence any longer hoping to nick a 1-0.... Its **** or bust time and some of that attacking football we were promised.

And why is this a midfield "headache"???? The report goes on to give the options of Ince (arguably one of the best two or three players of the season), Agdestein (probably our biggest signing of the summer transfer window), Stephens (our biggest signing of the January transfer window) plus Lopez and Orlandi who would be comfortable playing as an attacking / creative central midfielder (something we have lacked all season). Also, dare I say it, but we also have the option of going 4-4-2 (sorry silly suggestion....).

1 game... NO...

GG has not been having the best of seasons and imho ben found wanting a little more than id like.

Dunk is an up and coming centre half with stature and a little more pace than the skipper.
I just think that with us needing to freshen up a bit, this would be a good move too.

Each to their own I think.

Think it's about time Kemy started more games in midfield along with Ince who, IMHO, is a dead cert start each time. The headache I'd rather see OG dealing with though is the striker/lack of goals headache.

Each to their own absolutely, but I can't think of many goals other than Watford that have been down to him. We still have one of the very best defences in the division despite having very 'cavalier' right backs :-)

Despite the general perception that the centre backs lack pace (which they do) it very rarely actually leads to a goal. (In much the same way people used to worry about El-Abd's pulling and shoving leading to penalties, even though it almost never did.)

I rate Dunk very highly, but I'd rather have the experience of Greer alongside Upson at the moment, even if Dunk is better at coming out with the ball.

I can't say I have been very impressed with Kemy so far. Fitness issues and although he has some bright spells in games, overall I think he's struggling to be in ahead of others in the squad. Plus - he can't score.

Andrews and Ince in front of the back 4. Orlandi, KLL and Stephens behind Ulloa for me.
