Crawley Town have announced they will sign striker Sullay Kaikai and midfielder Hiram Boateng on loan from Premier League club Crystal Palace.

The two 18-year-olds will join for an initial period of 28 days when the loan window opens at midnight with a view to extending their stay for the maximum 93-day period.

The youngsters will be registered in time for Crawley's trip to Brentford tomorrow if the game survives the weather.

Boateng has made two appearances for Palace - both in the FA Cup - while Kaikai has been an unused substitute in the Premier League this season.

Boss John Gregory said: “Palace have a fantastic reputation for producing young talent and Hiram and Sullay are two of the best they have.

“Hiram is a really exciting midfielder who is excellent on the ball and strong in the tackle and Sullay is a very lively presence up front with terrific pace and an eye for goal.

“Tony (Pullis, Palace boss) has allowed them to come here to get experience and game time and they will definitely get that with the number of matches we have coming up.

“I’m sure they are going to prove to be very good additions to our squad as we approach a very busy time of the season.”
