Paul Dickov has revealed Doncaster plan to challenge Billy Sharp’s red card at the Amex yesterday.

The on-loan striker was dismissed four minutes from time following a clash with Albion skipper Gordon Greer.

It was an unhappy return for Sharp who holds a place in the stadium’s history as the scorer of the first ever league goal at the Amex in August 2011.

Doncaster boss Dickov, a former Albion loanee, was unhappy with the dismissal.

He said after the game: “I have seen it. I will be speaking to my chief executive tomorrow (Sunday) and seeing what the proper procedure is to appeal.

“There has been a lot of stuff going on this week with West Ham and Andy Carroll. Everybody has agreed he was possibly unlucky to get a red card for swinging his arm a little bit. Billy if anything has pushed his should into his (Greer’s) chest.

“There seemed to be a bit of confusion from what my players told me about who actually gave the decision and a bit of confusion for what it was actually for. Having seen it again, I feel possibly there might be grounds to appeal.

“There were a lot of things I wasn’t happy with. Our players at 0-0 were getting pulled up for time-wasting. They score a good goal and start doing the same thing.”

Sorry, Paul, but Sharp took a kick at Greer, before the handbags.....that's why he was sent off.....no chance on appeal.

Dickov feeling "possibly there might be grounds to appeal" is hardly putting a compelling case to the FA, so I can't see their agreeing that the decision was clearly wrong.

Leave it Dicko and lick your wounds in private.

Perhaps we did waste a bit of time after we scored, Doncaster were doing it from the kick off, grow up Paul.

From East Stand Upper it was a clear sending off. Billy took an impetuous kick at Gordon Greer from behind.
AlanDuffy is spot on ...no chance of appeal being successful. UTA

Personally i am not a fan of Managers moaning about refs decisions. Remember Fergusons rants?? Yes I guess many decisions are questionable but it all evens itself out over a season. If Carrolls sending off appeal was not upheld if Sharp pushing/kicked out at Greer then IMO Dickov does not stand a chance of an appeal. Accept it and move on.

So Dickov doesn't like opponents wasting time, but is quite happy for his own team to do it? What a berk.

Not me, I LOVE Wenger's post game moans, they're hilarious.

The time wasting by Donny was ridiculous but in the end they got exactly what they deserved, nothing. Dickov knows that the relegation trapdoor is looking likely to open.
