Tomasz Kuszczak believes Albion can look forward to the FA Cup with confidence after back-to-back home wins.

The Seagulls entertain Premier League side Hull City in the last 16 of the Cup at the Amex on Monday.

They have been buoyed by successive 1-0 home wins against Yorkshire duo Doncaster and Leeds in the last six days.

Hull are just three points above the Premier League relegation zone after Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat at home to Southampton and manager Steve Bruce may opt to make mass changes as he has in the previous two rounds of the FA Cup.

Albion, the 1983 Cup finalists, have not reached the quarter-finals since 1986 but Poland international Kuszczak believes the match is ripe for an upset.

He said: “For us it is a big chance. We play at home against a good team but a team which is struggling a little bit in the Premier League.

“They are going to make some changes as well, I can see that, and it will give us a chance.

“If we manage to win that one, you never know what might happen. This year we have performed well in this competition.”

Hull have not won in Sussex since 1965 while Albion are now unbeaten at home in their last seven matches in all competitions, having conceded just two goals in the process.
