Sussex all-rounder Luke Wright will be available for the start of the County Championship season after being overlooked again on the second day of the IPL auction.

Wright had no takers on the first day yesterday and it was the same story today as none of the franchises were willing to meet his £145,000 reserve price.

The 28-year-old would have missed the opening five Championship matches if he had competed at the IPL as well as at least two NatWest T20 Blast games.

Wright has missed the start of the past two summers due to playing for Pune Warriors in the IPL and was also unavailable for part of the early 2010 and 2011 campaigns due to injury and England commitments.
