Oscar to make changes again for FA Cup clash
Albion boss Oscar Garcia is ready to rotate his squad again in the FA Cup.
The Spaniard made sweeping changes for the third round victory at home to Reading and the win in round four at Port Vale.
He is poised to continue the policy in Monday night’s fifth round clash against Premier League Hull at the Amex.
Peter Brezovan, the fit-again Will Buckley and Jake Forster-Caskey, Lewis Dunk, David Lopez and Jonathan Obika are among the players in contention to feature.
Inigo Calderon is also likely to start again at right-back after deputising for thigh injury victim Bruno against Leeds on Tuesday.
Oscar said: “Bruno could have played but we didn’t want to risk anyone, because we have a lot of players on the bench deserving to play.
“It is very hard for me every week to tell Calde he is not in the starting eleven, because he deserves to play every week. He is very professional but we can only play with eleven.”
Oscar’s selection will cater for key clashes against fellow Championship play-off candidates Wigan at the Amex a week tomorrow and away to Blackburn Rovers three days later, unless the Hull tie requires a replay.
Hull chief Steve Bruce is also expected to make widespread changes. The Tigers are 13th but only three points above the relegation zone and face a crucial trip to next-to-bottom Cardiff five days after visiting Albion.
