Crawley have been hit by a sixth postponement in the last six weeks after their League One clash with Carlisle United was called off today.
Referee Rob Lewis decided the Checkatrade.com Stadium pitch put player safety at risk following a 12pm inspection.
Lewis had inspected the pitch at 10am and given a team of volunteers and staff from Crawley an extra two hours to try to get it in a playable condition but was still unsatisfied.
The postponement is a massive blow for Reds who have not had a home league game since December 29 and have played only twice in League One in total in 2014.
Their last four matches have been called off now and they will have seven games in hand on some of their rivals after today.
Crawley could also find themselves in the relegation zone this evening if results go against them.
