Albion will be at home to Gus Poyet’s Sunderland in the quarter-final of the FA Cup if they win through tomorrow’s fifth round clash with Hull City at the Amex.

The Seagulls will claim a place in the last eight of the competition for only the third time in their history if the beat Steve Bruce's Tigers.

That would hand them a quarter-final clash with the Black Cats, who are now managed by former Albion boss Poyet.

Poyet was sacked by Albion last summer after leading the Seagulls to the Championship play-offs last season.

He took over at the Stadium of Light in October and last month signed midfielder Liam Bridcutt, Albion's player of the season for the last two years.

It will be viewed as a favourite draw for Albion who have missed out on facing either Manchester City or the winners of Arsenal against Liverpoool.

The tie will take place on the weekend of March 8/9.

Full quarter-final draw: Arsenal or Liverpool v Everton, Albion or Hull v Sunderland, Sheffield United or Nottingham Forest v Sheffield Wednesday or Charlton, Manchester City v Wigan.
