Crawley Town have signed experienced striker Rory Fallon on a deal until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old New Zealand international joins the Reds after being released by Scottish Premier League side St Johnstone.

He began his career at Barnsley and has also played for Shrewsbury, Swindon, Yeovil, Swansea, Plymouth, Ipswich and Aberdeen.

Fallon was part of New Zealand’s squad for the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa, having scored the only goal in the second leg of a play-off against Bahrain to send them to the finals.

He will be available for tomorrow's home game with Tranmere, subject to international clearance.

Reds boss John Gregory said: "Rory hasn't had too many opportunities in Scotland so he is really looking forward to a new challenge.

"He is very experienced, knows this league inside out and can score goals. We're delighted he is with us for what is going to be a very busy end to the season."
