Bruce praises Albion

The Argus: Steve Bruce shakes hands with Oscar Garcia at the Amex tonight Steve Bruce shakes hands with Oscar Garcia at the Amex tonight

Hull City boss Steve Bruce was full of praise for Albion after tonight’s 1-1 draw in the FA Cup at the Amex.

The visitors grabbed a replay with an equaliser four minutes from time.

Bruce said: “I want to say well done to Brighton. For a Championship side, you can see why they are at the top end of the division. They play some smashing football.

“They have been at the top end of the Championship for a long time now. There have been there or thereabouts, knocking on the door.

“You can sense when you walk through the door here there is a bit of a feelgood factor. They have big support, a good side, play good football so we expected a difficult game.

“The big boy up front Ulloa caused us problems all night. He is a very decent player.”

He would say that wouldn't he? SB knows that taking the tie back to Hull gives them a route into the next round he doesn't deserve. We didn't want to go there - or should I say OG didn't. He thinks he can do what Premier League clubs do with their squads. I hope this season is as close as he gets.

I see our development squad posters are having fun tonight. Frankly we made Hull look pretty ordinary for most of the game, in spite of seven changes to the starting line up. We were just a good pass or composed finish away from victory on a number of occasions. Plenty of positives to take from the game tonight - although as others have said, Kaz had his least effective game of the season by far.

I thought was off his game but his game was changed he was there to stop there winger from getting forward so much and match his pace so was actually played out of his normal attacking roll I could be wrong about this of course

Fair play, Brucey! So let's do it all again at The KC. Don't think we'll do it now but I thought we'd win tonight so don't trust my predictions!!!

I enjoyed seeing the play of the boy Ince, such a powerhouse going forward. I predict a very bright future for the lad in the Premier League good luck to him.
