Albion are rewarding their most loyal fans by covering the cost of a ticket for Monday's FA Cup fifth round replay at Hull.

The club are making the gesture to season ticket holders and club members to encourage as many supporters as possible to make the journey to the KC Stadium.

Chief executive Paul Barber said: "The potential for progressing further in The FA Cup is an exciting prospect and, as ever, our supporters can play an important role in helping the team on the night.

"We have had wonderful support from our fans all season and we hope that this gesture for our most committed season ticket holders and members will go some way towards making the long trip north more affordable for our fans, and act as a small thank you for the great support we receive."

Ticket rebates will be applied to supporters' e-cash accounts within seven days of the replay. Prices range from £1 for under ten's to £15 for adults and can be booked from 9am tomorrow morning online, by phone or at the Amex. Tickets go on general sale from 9am on Thursday.

Nice gesture, and hopefully it can swell the numbers of hardy souls making the trek. The fact it's on ITV4 won't help, but i hope we are well supported. In my opinion, those that go will see an Albion win!

I can't see this making any difference to the numbers going to the replay. I won't be doing this one, but it's not the money, it's the fact that it's so far away on a Monday night with work the next day. Also, not that generous an offer as you have to pay for the ticket first, then the refund gets put on your season ticket from where you can only spend it in the club shop or in one of their food outlets, so basically straight back in to their pocket.

Nice gesture, but agree with albionite, I can't see it swelling the numbers that much. 500+ mile drive there and back, or zero chance of getting back the same night by train, and for a game that's on the tellybox anyway?

Less than 500 Albion I reckon

Very good gesture by the club but we do need to be promised in advance that we will be treating the match seriously and will be fielding a very strong team. The Southampton fans who went to Sunderland (a far longer trip than we will have) were, quite rightly. not happy with the team their manager put out.

Nice offer for a relatively small number of fans. What never ceases to amaze me about the Argus is their total inability to report issues that are actually important to real fans which a quick visit to north stand chat would reveal. Namely the total debacle about parking for the match last night. It was very badly managed and the club seem to be totally oblivious to that fact. Many many people missed the start and queued for over an hour to reach ore-booked parking. The Albion are making great strides forward which is a really exciting development for the club BUT they must remember that their fans are the core of the club and they need to be treated with actual respect not just empty gestures like the above.

On the whole , couldn't agree more .. though i don't think it is an empty gesture.
It was an absolute shambles last night , at one point i thought about turning around and watching on telly at home. in the end i was 10 mins late, though could see hundreds queuing either in traffic or to collect tickets. There was never going to be a chance of delaying kick off due to the telly schedule. While the argus is a great place to vent spleen, this would much better be addressed directly to the club .. i have emailed the club, as i am sure others will have done. Think this is the best way to get them to actually listen. The weather and train delays / cancellations can only have added to the numbers driving that might not usually have done .. but there seems to have been no contingency. Anyway, rant over ... i am glad i didn't go home as it was a decent game and i hope we take a decent number there next week ... it'll probably take me as long to get to Hull as it did from Haywards Heath to the Amex last night

Cant believe the negativity regarding the offer, it might not be much but it shows to me the board actually care about the fans, Its the decision to play it on a Monday night which is shambolic, this is from a injury prone view because if it was a league match on a Tuesday/Wednesday I would want to go, but would need to take day off work, not see the kids and spend about £100 on the day

I hope Oscar fields the strongest possible team - to make the journey worthwhile. Orlandi for one should have been in the squad on Monday. It was also clear to me and many others that the defence badly needed reinforcements in the last 15 minutes...especially when Bruce brought on 2 forwards. I would have substituted Bruno or Greer for Lua Lua. We could have crowded them out in those last few minutes. Bruno's skill factor and close control has been brilliant in recent matches. We needed someone who could hold onto the ball like he can, and he could have assisted in closing down their big threat on the right flank. WHY DID OSCAR JUST PACE UP AND DOWN IN PONDEROUS THOUGHT IN THOSE FRANTIC LAST 10 MINUTES...AND NOT DO THE OBVIOUS THING????????? We were so demoralised at the end that Hull could easily have had another 2 goals in those last few frantic minutes. We were lucky in the end not to get beaten.

Sods law Hull will beat Sunderland and draw one of the Sheffield clubs in the semi-finals.

My head tells me that Hull WILL beat us - because Steve Bruce desperately wants to win the FA Cup. He was quoted on the BBC website as saying that they may never get a better chance to go as far in the FA Cup again. As a Brighton supporter of 57 years I doubt whether I will ever see us have a better chance of reaching the semi final (AT WEMBLEY!) than this - so I am feeling very disappointed at Oscar's lack of understanding of how important the FA Cup is to us supporters, by failing to pick the strongest possible team. I'm sure this would have prevented us having this unwelcome replay.

STILL, I WOULD LIKE TO CONGRATULATE THE YOUNGER PLAYERS LIKE JAKE, SOLLY AND ROHAN FOR THEIR PERFORMANCES...THE FUTURE IS BRIGHTWITH PLAYERS LIKE THEM. UTA

Until the goal, I thought we were coping pretty well, to be honest. Dunk, who was superb on the night, just went to ground a bit early and they took the chance. After that, they were the most likely to score but putting on an extra defender then wasn't really an option to just hold on for a draw.

If you aren't going to spend £15 at the Amex between now and the end of the season, they haven't offered anything. But that is basically 2 meal deals or 5 pints.

Don't look at it as an enticement to go and support the team at Hull, because of course no one is going to go just to get £15 e-cash on their card. See it as a small thank you to those fans that will be going anyway.

Who really wants to go that far to watch such Albion rubbish. Come on now. Don't waste your money. Don't go to falmer either. Is it only me that sees utter rubbish played. Get a decent team down like.......merstham united....and then you will see some proper football not like what they play at the moment.
Yes, it's just you. Nice handle, by the way. Did you need long to cook up that tasty morsel?

They haven't. Look at the deal.......
If you aren't going to spend £15 at the Amex between now and the end of the season, they haven't offered anything. But that is basically 2 meal deals or 5 pints.

Do you have very short arms, Albionite?
Not short arms, but I do have have a long memory. Fans were treated like valued customers prior to the Amex, now we are just faceless numbers. Whether I spend £15 or not, there is still no deal in what they are offering.
Do you normally get your ticket money put back on your card then?! I want to sit where you are if you do! ;-)
Me too!
