Greer keeps place in Scottish squad

The Argus: Gordon Greer in action on his Scottish debut against the USA Gordon Greer in action on his Scottish debut against the USA

Gordon Greer could add to his two Scottish caps next month after being named in their squad to face Poland.

The Albion skipper is in Gordon Strachan's 24-man party for a friendly in Warsaw on Wednesday, March 5.

Greer started the 0-0 draw at home to the USA and the 1-0 win in Norway in November.

The midweek trip to Poland falls between Albion's trip to Millwall and a home fixture against either Reading in the Championship or Sunderland in the FA Cup.

Good for GG, make the most of it, but with all the games we have got to come let's hope he doesn't get injured playing in a friendly!
For me this could be GG's last season as a first choice CB, if we can get Upson to sign for another year and Dunk carries on playing like he did against Hull, Gordon might have to warm the bench for a while.
Any news on how the Latvian lad Maxi is doing for Kilmarnock, another possible centre back for the future, maybe in partnership with Dunk!
Good to see all our youngsters doing well, and that's without the Academy!

Big Gordon is very under rated, we have the best defensive record. But probably the oldest too,
Good luck to him, what a bargain he was 4 years ago, 250k

I see you must have been taking a happy pill MBTS - or was it a pint of Harveys?! You are right though, our defence has been outstanding and kept us on the fringe of the play offs.
