Craig Mackail-Smith has suffered a setback in his recovery from injury.

A groin tear in training has delayed the Albion striker's comeback schedule in the development team by two weeks.

Mackail-Smith has been out of first team action since last March with Achilles and ankle injuries.

He stepped up his comeback recently with two appearances in the development team.

Head coach Oscar Garcia said: "Craig had a tear, a setback in training. He'll be a little bit longer. He's with the physios." Albion have doubts about Will Buckley and Solly March (both hamstring) for Wigan's visit tomorrow.

Leo Ulloa (calf) is also a slight concern. The Argentinian should be okay but is unlikely to start against Wigan and at Hull in Monday's FA Cup fifth round replay.

Buckley made his first start of the year in Monday's FA Cup draw with Hull at the Amex before March replaced him on the right-wing for the second half.

Oscar said: "He (Buckley) is not fit enough to play 90 minutes, He didn't feel 100 per cent and it takes time. At half-time he said he didn't feel really well to keep playing.

"We have to go slowly with him. We don't want him to get injured again because there is only two months of the season left and we want everybody fit enough to play.

"Leo is okay but we have to see how he trains today and how he is tomorrow. Solly March as well - we have some players not at 100 per cent. Solly is feeling his hamstring a little bit."
