Uwe Rosler has warned Wigan’s play-off rivals his side are still improving.

The Latics moved three points clear of Albion in the race for a top-six spot thanks to their 2-1 win at the Amex yesterday.

Blackburn were the other big movers in the play-off race with a 1-0 at the Madejski Stadium which kept Reading’s lead over the Seagulls to four points.

Wigan have made great strides since Rosler took over from Owen Coyle at the helm.

The former East Germany international has led them from 14th in the Championship.

But Rosler admitted they had some good luck on their side yesterday.

He said after success over the Seagulls: “We keep our feet firmly on the ground, that is for sure.

“We have won now four in a row, including a cup game, and three of them were away from home.

“But we have to improve as a team, we have to improve individually - and we will.

“The players are tremendous for me, the way they work.

“Not everything is 100% but where there is a will there is a way.

“Tactically we were not up to speed 100% but we made up for it with an enormous amount of effort.”
