Albion’s FA Cup run is over – despite a second half fightback at Hull tonight.

Leo Ulloa’s fifth goal in as many games inspired hope but was not enough to head off defeat in their fifth-round replay.

Instead, the Tigers go through to meet Sunderland after scruffy first-half goals from Curtis Davies and Robert Koren secured a 2-1 win.

Davies met a 14th-minute corner which a header which drifted gently inside the post.

And Koren added a 36th-minute free-kick which seemed to take a slight deflection off Stephen Ward.

Albion were toothless in the first half but improved in the second.

Lewis Dunk thumped a shot against the underside of the bar.

Then Ulloa headed home a superb inswinging free-kick from David Lopez midway through the half.

Home fans in a crowd of 10,795 were on edge after that.

But the 486 among them supporting the away side did not have an equaliser to cheer - although Steve Harper struggled to hold Solly March's shot deep in added time.
