Crawley striker Rory Fallon has been selected in the New Zealand squad for their friendly with Japan next week.

Fallon is in line to win his 18th cap for the All Whites when they take on the World Cup finalists in Tokyo on Wednesday.

It means the 31-year-old – who has yet to make an appearance for Reds since signing as a free agent last week - will miss Crawley’s home game against Stevenage on Tuesday but should be back for the trip to Gillingham the following weekend.

Fallon last played for New Zealand in the home and away World Cup qualifiers against Mexico in November.

Defender Joe Walsh will also miss the Stevenage game due to international commitments with Wales Under-21s due to play England Under-21s at Derby County on Wednesday.
