TICKETS for the country’s biggest agricultural event, the Great Yorkshire Show, will go on sale on Monday, March 3.

The show - which will be the 156th - takes place on July 8, 9 and 10 and will highlight the best of British farming and country life over the three days.

Last year more than 135,000 visitors came through the gates of the showground in Harrogate enjoying everything from fashion shows to top class show jumping.

More than 1,000 cattle will be competing and for the first time in the show’s history there will be classes for British White cattle - one of the UK’s oldest breeds which is listed on the Watchlist of the Rare Breed Survival Trust.
