Albion’s awayday goal drought is over – after a shade more than six hours.

David Lopez converted a 39th-minute penalty to give his side the lead at Millwall today.

It was their first away league goal in 2014.

They had gone goalless since Inigo Calderon hit his first-half winner at Blackpool on December 29.

Blanks at Derby, Burnley and Watford took the wait for a goal to 322 minutes.

That had extend to 361 minutes by the time David coolly sent David Forde – who has a decent record against spot kicks – the wrong way after Jesse Lingard had been fouled by Danny Shittu.

Albion have scored four FA Cup goals on the road this year.

But this was the first time since January 25 anyone other than Leo Ulloa had scored for the Seagulls in any competition.
