Kemy Agustien played 90 minutes for the development team in a 5-2 defeat at Bristol City today as Albion try to get him fitter for first team action.

The enigmatic Dutch midfielder signed from Swansea in the summer has dropped out of the first team picture since the FA Cup win at Port Vale at the end of January.

Will Hoskins stepped up his recovery against Bristol, lasting 62 minutes this time after a shorter goalscoring comeback from a year out with serious knee damage in the 1-1 draw against the same opponents at Lancing this week.

Simon Ireland's side were well beaten in the return clash on a mixed afternoon in goal for Olly Wray, deputising for Christian Walton who is on England under 19's duty.

Wray conceded a first half penalty which he then saved from Tyrone Barnett before spilling a shot for Barnett to put Bristol ahead on the stroke of half-time.

Joe Morrell doubled Albion's deficit early in the second half but James Muitt halved the arrears two minutes later.

A free-kick from Joe Bryan restored Bristol's two-goal cushion and Morrell struck again midway through the second half.

Courtney Richards fired an 83rd minute consolation for Albion from substitute Jeffrey Monakana's cross.

Liam Kelly completed the rout with a late penalty given away by Glen Rea.

Albion: Wray; Deen (Barnett 67), Rea, Barclay, Hunt; Davis, Richards, Starkey (Harris 65); Hoskins (Monakana 62), Agustein, Muitt. Subs not used: Wiltshire, Smith, Rowe-Hurst.
