Albion No. 2 Nathan Jones believes fans can be like an extra man in successive showdowns at the Amex.

The Welshman says the `supporters have a crucial part to play as the Championship promotion race gathers pace for the Seagulls.

Oscar Garcia's side entertain Reading on Saturday and Queens Park Rangers three days later.

Nearly 2,500 fans made the journey to South-East London last Saturday. They were rewarded with a 1-0 win at Millwall which has kept Albion in the thick of the chase for a play-off place.

Now Jones wants the atmosphere to crackle at the Amex for the clashes against two promotion rivals.

He told The Argus: "They are great games. Our crowd were outstanding, two and a half thousand (at Millwall) shows a real commitment.

"They drove us on and it was great to get the win for them. Hopefully we will get full houses at the Amex, because Reading will bring a few, QPR will bring a few.

"Let's pack the place out, have a great Saturday afternoon and then really look forward to the Tuesday.

"Our fans are outstanding anyway but if we get a big effort from them they can play a big part in what we are doing, because they are like a 12th man on that pitch.

"The Amex, when we are playing well and it's rocking, is the best place to be."

The attendance has topped 27,000 for Albion's last three home games.

Season ticket holders paying up front have until 5pm on March 13 to secure their seat for next season.
