Crawley boss John Gregory admitted his side were a bit lucky to pick up a point at Shrewsbury Town tonight.

Reds took the lead through Josh Simpson in the first half but had to cling on after Paul Parry had equalised in the 56th minute.

Paul Parry and Miles Storey hit the woodwork while Kyle McFadzean hacked the ball off the line in the closing stages.

It was only Shrewsbury's second point at home in the last nine games but Gregory admitted they could have taken all three.

Gregory said: "They were a completely different team in the second half compared to the first half and we were holding on a little bit.

"I thought we were totally in control in the first half but perhaps we had too much time on the ball and didn't make the most of it.

"Jacko (Shrews boss Mike Jackson) made a change at half-time and it made a big transformation as they threw everything at us.

"They put us under a lot of pressure but we stood firm and we should even have won it at the end when Jamie (Proctor) had a great chance.

"But in the end we were very pleased to take something from the game."
