Palace man set for chance to upset the Amex

The Argus: Jonny Williams is on loan to Ipswich Jonny Williams is on loan to Ipswich

Albion are heading for a re-match with a play-off foe from last year as they bid to move into the top six.

Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams is set to make the second start of his month’s loan to Ipswich when they visit the Amex on Saturday.

Tractor Boys boss Mick McCarthy has hinted the 20-year-old Welsh livewire will get more chance to shine after a bright performance against Wigan.

McCarthy said: “I thought Jonny Williams was excellent.

“I think if he is playing games we can keep him. That was the agreement.”

Williams played for Palace in both legs as they ended Albion’s 2012-13 season a match early last May.

But David McGoldrick, whose two goals sank the Seagulls at Portman Road in September, is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

"Live wire" sums this lad up if my memory serves me correct. Played vey well against us.
We'll just have to be extra vigilant which is what I would expect from now on until the season end( end of May not the beginning I confidently expect) UTA

I'm sure he will get a hearty warm welcome at The Amex on Saturday............
..NOT!!!

Actually he is a good player in this division (bloody hell that hurt to type) I can't wait until 3pm Saturday, it seems ages since we last played at home, although I know it isn't.

I thought he was one of Palarse better players against us in the play offs.
The only difference is that we are different this season with the mighty Ince to get passed.
Gppd win on the cards Saturday and hope to see Hoskins having a run out

Yes, good player, very lively in the play off games. Surprised Palace have "dropped" him. Could have borrowed him ourselves for that Stephens role maybe?
