Boss John Gregory has underlined the importance of Dannie Bulman to Crawley’s hopes of finishing the season strongly.

Gregory has confirmed the veteran midfielder will return for tonight’s home clash with Sheffield United after watching from the stands as Reds went down 1-0 at Oldham on Saturday.

Crawley have taken seven points from the last three games Bulman has started but only two from the previous three where he has either been on the bench or not played at all.

Gregory said: “Once or twice I have not made the right decision (to rest people) and we have not got the results I thought we might. I will turn to the usual suspects again tonight and Dannie will certainly come back into it.

“He was upset he didn’t play at Oldham which is a good sign but it is asking a lot of of 35-year-old to keep playing game after game. We are trying to keep him as fresh as we can as we still have 12 games to play in seven weeks.”
