Crawley Down Gatwick have sacked manager Francis Vines.

The former Crawley Town boss has departed in the wake of Wednesday’s 10-0 drubbing at leaders Peacehaven.

Vines has failed to win a game since being named as Anvils manager in December, losing 12 games and drawing two.

Top of Ryman south in September, they are now second from bottom and in serious danger of relegation back to the County League.

Crawley Down are looking to appoint a new manager ahead of Saturday’s crunch game away to fellow strugglers Redhill.

oscar must go says...

It all went wrong there when they employed John Maggs who had already ruined Horsham and then went on to Hastings and did the same for them before they wised up and got rid of him before it was too late. Perhaps Maggs will surface at the AMEX soon where he will be in good company with Garcia who is doing his best to wreck Albion!!
