Banbury trainer Paul Webber admitted to being a little embarrassed after Koolala provided him with his 500th career winner.
The Mollington handler, who took out a licence to train in 1995 following the death of his father, John, reached the milestone when the six-year-old won at Wincanton.
Reflecting on the landmark, Webber said: βIt gives rise to a certain amount of embarrasment that it has taken quite so long.
βI have no doubt that I should have trained more winners and less seconds during that time.β
