Dale Stephens has been backed to replace the goals from midfield of Andrew Crofts for Albion.

Stephens faces his former club Charlton at the Amex tomorrow seeking his first home goal after getting off the mark recently for the Seagulls at Blackburn.

The January signing also provided three assists in Tuesday's 4-1 win at Leicester and head coach Oscar Garcia thinks Stephens can emulate Crofts, who is out injured until next season.

Oscar said: "He's a player who can do this job. He has the quality and the ability and physically he is strong.

"It will be a special game for him. He played really well against Leicester and we want him to keep playing like that.

"We're very happy with him, because he is working hard, he has played games in a row and he is helping us."
