Stick or twist? What would your team be to face Charlton?

The Argus: Oscar Garcia Oscar Garcia

Don’t tinker with a winning team? Or make changes from a position of strength?

That will be the question for Oscar Garcia as he plots a return to winning form at home today.

Albion’s head coach saw his side stun leaders Leicester City 4-1 in midweek.

They did it with the same set-up as drew 0-0 at lowly Barnsley three days earlier and with just one personnel change as Kazenga LuaLua replaced David Rodriguez.

So is it a case of “same again” for what looks a very different type of test against Charlton?

Or do you see a tactical change which might benefit the Seagulls and catch out the Addicks?

Team news sees Bruno available again after a two-match ban, Stephen Ward shrugging off an ankle problem which hindered him for 45 minutes at Leicester but Andrea Orlandi and Will Buckley still absent.

But what would your team be? Let us know.

If it ain't broke!
But, Bruno will step back in (unfortunately imo) Caldi is so much more reliable as a defender, the odd moment Bruno gives us going forward is quickly wiped out by the chances it gives the opposition by leaving Greer exposed. Ward will not play due to ankle injury so time for Chicksen to step up, if he has a blinder keep him there for the next couple of games, Wards not here next season so we need to see what level Chicksen is at.
The big decision for me is the big guy (INCE), do we drop Andrews who in most peoples opinion blows hot and cold, a good game against Leicester but can he do it in back to back games?
Think the home crowd are expecting LuaLua to start, if he doesn't, I can already hear them now!
We done the hard bit Tuesday, 3 home wins and a point at Huddersfield should be enough to go to Forest without the pressure of needing a big win.
3-1 Albion today, LuaLua to break his season long duck! UTA

If it ain't broke don't fix it. There's more to be gained from a settled team at this time. Show due regard for the team that achieved such a fantastic result against Leicester. They will appreciate it and deliver again.

same as tuesday quick players kill teams. we just need to squeeze up on them really pressure the ball like tues and against bolton (the last time we won convincingly) and weather its from our good play or mistakes by them we would be high up the pitch to take full advantage

Even if OG wanted to change, I think it would be a massive risk, imagine going back to 451 and losing! Stick with attacking all out and let them worry about it!
FANS NEED TO STICK TO SUPPORTING THE TEAM EVEN IF WE GO ONE DOWN, ! Win today and pressure is building for everyone else, only problem is the chasing pack with exception of Bournemouth can't win two on the trot.

I've always been a believer that you never change a winning team, especially one that has won so convincingly. So much has to do with chemistry and Calde deserves matches. He is such a decent person and sooooo committed to the cause.

Wouldn't do any harm for Bruno to have a rest! So same again for me please Oscar!!!!

You have to go with the team that won at Leicester. I would think that if OG does change a winning team any player dropped will rightly feel they have no real future under OG. That would be dangerously bad for team moral and unity at an important time. So Andrews and Calderon to play

I don't think Bruno will step straight back in simply because Calde, going by reports, did nothing wrong in the two recent matches.
If Ward did a full training session yesterday I would expect him to start but that is something we don't know. I would be surprised if Brighton are not already having tentative talks about Ward signing.
Andrews hot and cold and against Leicester he was hot, the question you ask about Andrews also applies to Lua Lua, can they deliver back to back quality performances, I would leave them both in.

So for me, if the eleven that beat Leicester are not injured, no changes, if Ward can't play, then of course Chicksen steps in. Oh how I would love to see us with a healthy 2-0 lead with 30 to go and CMS replace Lingard, that would give Ulloa and CMS a chance to hook up.

Just leaving for the match, hope your right and the same 11 start, think Oscar will go with Bruno though, just noticed Ward did train so should play, which is a plus, LuaLua prior to his knee op played 2/3 games back to back I believe, and he was on fire, he needs to start for us for the rest of the season for us to stand any chance of a play off spot imo. Plus he will want to stay! If Andrews is out of sorts after 30 minutes, bring on Ince.
Cms, 30 minutes and a goal please, the place will erupt and you will hear us from where you are! UTA
